Black Shop Friday and Target Corporation expanded its campaign which encourages Chicagoans to shop at Black-owned businesses on the Friday after Thanksgiving, popularly known as Black Friday.
Momentum Coffee for its second year was again part of the campaign and was featured by the CBS Chicago's Morning Insiders' Mr. Jim Williams. They have introduced husband-and-wife entrepreneurs, our very own, Mr. Tracy Powell and Ms. Nikki Bravo who are trying to create opportunities for other Black businesses within the community. Momentum Coffee South Loop, is hosting two new businesses Dettoxx Life Products and The New Rich to showcase their great product line line as part of the Black Shop Friday campaign.
We have recently opened the Momentum Coffee Millennium Park location to reach more customers with our great tasting drinks and coffee. Alongside with our Momentum Coffee Coworking South Loop location which not only offers good coffee but also help create a space for entrepreneurs to network and further build relationships. Momentum Coffee strives to be more than just about coffee as it focuses on creating an environment where people can come together and continue to grow and build successful businesses within the community.
We would like to quote Ms. Nikki Bravo who mentioned during the interview “The overall mission of Momentum Coffee is really to empower people in different ways,” Bravo said.
And Mr. Tracy Powell shared “People say they want to change the world. We say we just want to change the world around us” These strong and encouraging words help not just black-owned businesses but small businesses in general to thrive and reach their goals.
Momentum Coffee is committed to making the overall Momentum experience better. We are here for our customers and always want them to have an amazing coffee shop, coworking space or location they can come enjoy a good cup of coffee at. We are also here for the community to help and promote businesses towards success and growth. We encourage everyone to continue to #shoplocal #shopblack and seek small businesses to support.
